Deviations and imperfections are characteristic of genuine tanned leather products that can darken, fade or change in colour and texture over time. This is proof of the purity of the leather and no defect, error or quality problem. In our opinion, the natural ageing process is an expression of the beauty of organic materials. To keep your leather in good condition, we recommend treating the strap with a leather protector before wearing to make it resistant to dirt and moisture. Remember to protect the leather from intense sunlight, heat, water, moisture, make-up and perfume to avoid damage or discoloration. When it comes to removing small stains, we suggest gently wiping the leather with a soft, thoroughly wrung rag and mild soapy water. Repeat the process with clean water. Bracelets are not covered by the warranty, but we carry a limited stock of replacement straps available for purchase. Bracelets in bright colours should be approx. every 12 months. Links can be removed or added to our link watches. For large and medium watch bands, a maximum of three links can be removed. Can I do something about it? Olivia Burton uses the best plating processes available, but it is in the nature of plating that it wears out over time, especially when it comes into contact with body lotion and perfume. To keep your watch looking flawless, we always recommend taking off the watch when it comes into contact with water, perfume and body lotion. Note: The rose gold plating is naturally less durable and fades faster over time. Is my watch waterproof? Your watch has a water resistance rating of 1ATM or 10 m (1 bar) so it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand low amounts of water/raindrops. In order to prolong the service life of your watch, we always recommend taking it off before swimming, showering or bathing. It is also important that you remove your watch before entering a steam room or sauna. Extreme heat can cause watch seals to expand and create openings through which water drops can penetrate the product. Note: Water damage to your watch is not a guarantee. How long should my battery last? The average battery life is 12 months. All watches have battery protection in the crown that must be removed to activate the battery. To start the battery, remove the plastic tab and press the crown sideways into the case. If your watch stops running, the battery will probably need to be replaced.
