My leather strap is showing signs of wear. Is this normal? Our luxury leather straps are treated using the best tanning methods. Differences and imperfections are characteristic of genuine tanned leather products, which may darken, fade or change color and structure over time. This is proof of the purity of the leather, no defect, defect or quality problem. We consider the natural aging process as part of the beauty of organic materials. To protect your leather, we recommend treating your strap with a leather protector before wearing to resist dirt and moisture. Don't forget to keep your leather strap away from intense sunlight, heat, water, humidity, makeup and perfume to avoid damage or stains. To remove small stains, we recommend gently wiping the leather with a soft, well-wrung cloth and mild soapy water. Repeat with clean water. Straps are not covered by warranty, but we do have a limited supply of replacement straps that you can order. You should assume that you need to change light-colored straps about every 12 months. Can I buy an alternative to leather? Olivia Burton is proud to offer a range of vegan watches with soft faux leather straps. A great alternative to genuine leather, these synthetic styles are designed to look and feel as luxurious as the real leather. We have also introduced a collection of environmentally friendly watches. The straps of these models are style-conscious in more ways than one and they are expertly crafted from recycled materials, resulting in a soft suede effect. Can I adjust my strap? Links can be removed and added to our bracelet watches with links. With our large and medium link bracelet styles, up to three links can be removed. With Wonderland bracelet styles, up to eight links can be removed. You can add as many links as needed to any of our other bracelet watches. You can buy additional links from us. Our leather straps for a large dial are adjustable from about 16cm to about 21.5cm. Our medium size leather straps for a large dial are adjustable from about 15cm to about 20.5cm. Our mesh straps for a large dial are adjustable from about 15.5cm to about 21cm. Our mesh straps for a medium dial are adjustable from about 15cm to about 20cm. The plating of my watch shows signs of wear. Can I do something about that? Olivia Burton uses the best plating methods available, but it is the nature of the plating to wear out over time, especially when in contact with body creams and perfumes. To make your watch look flawless, we always recommend taking off your watch if it can come into contact with water, perfumes and body creams. Note: Rose gold plating is naturally less durable and will fade faster over time. Is my watch water resistant? Your watch has a water resistance of 1ATM or 10 m (1 Bar), which makes it suitable for everyday use and can withstand modest water/rain splashes. To prolong the life of your watch, we always recommend removing it before swimming, showering and bathing. It is also essential to take off your watch before entering a steam bath or sauna. Extreme heat can cause watch seals to expand and create gaps, allowing water droplets to penetrate the design. Please note that water damage to your watch is not covered by warranty. How long will my battery last? The average battery life is 12 months. All watches have a battery saver in the crown, which must be removed to activate the battery. To start using the battery, remove the plastic tab and press the crown into the side of the case. If your watch stops working, the battery is likely to be replaced. Any local independent jeweler can replace your battery. We offer a free battery replacement service. Please contact our Customer Service for more details. Replacing the battery is not covered by the warranty.
